Yellow fin tuna (before they got hammered by seiners in the South Pacific!) and Marlin are target species from November/December to late April and often into May each year. 

Yellow Tail Kingfish (Kingies) are in good numbers all year round but most abundant around White Island (Whakaari) often called the Kingfish capital of the World!

At times short billed spearfish  and mahi-mahi are taken and we hold records for both of these species. We have landed yellow fin tuna up to 95 kg and Blue fin tuna to 138 kg.  Striped marlin over 100kg are often taken in the summer months from January to April.

We offer hapuku or deep water bass fishing in the winter months.  Snapper and reef fishing in the shallows all year round
